Chase Dryden began tattooing because he wanted to try a new art medium. His parents bought his first machine when he finished high school and he started practicing on his friends. Currently he is going through an apprenticeship program to become state licensed. Chase's artwork isn't overly complicated, he is all about esthetics and imagery; if it is appealing to the eye then that's all there it is to it!
Chase tried to get in with just about every tattoo studio within the Oklahoma City area for his apprenticeship. Most studios however wanted a large amount of money or wouldn't allow for the required time. When he found Big Daddy's Tattoos, he saw that they were really laid back and welcomed him with open arms. Throughout his career, he has taken a lot of inspiration from artists such as Alex Pardee and Greg Simkins.
He is building a group of clientele, although most clients he works on are good friends or people that knew his artwork before he started tattooing. Chase continues to improve on every piece and he now allows his work to speak for itself. He knows that it can be intimidating to see all the wonderful work that people are doing around him; however, at the same time he finds it very inspiring.
