Drew Shurtleff has been an artist his whole life and always had a desire for tattoos. He was self taught and has now been tattooing for over 10 years. Drew truly believes that anything can be created with a tattoo, from painting styles, to photo realism and so much more. There are so many 'greats' to study and keep up with, that he finds it hard to believe that any tattoo artist can become complacent.
"Clients are the most important thing for an artist and they should be treated that way!" Drew works by appointment only, so he can ensure his client's will provide the best work every time. His inspiration comes from masters from within the industry like Mike Devries, Nick Baxter, Nikko Hurtado and Kyle Cotterman. He also gets inspiration from great musicians, such as Bradley Noel, 2pac, Biggie and many others.
Drew prefers to do custom work, portraits or anything with lots of bright, vibrant colors. (Just don't ask him to do the name of your significant other or anything tribal...) He started to apply the photo realism style to just about any tattoo he creates. Ultimately, he never wants to stop progressing and evolving. In a few years, he hopes to be as good as many others within this industry that he looks up to. With the way artists are pushing the envelope, becoming more involved in their work and great tattoo inks like Eternal are being developed, Drew believes that he will be unstoppable.
